1.Where do you park? Where do I park? Is there parking?
Parking is located behind the salon. Enter under the “MINT” overhead sign. Turn left at the roundabout . Ample visitor parking behind the salon. Permit not required. Disregard any signs that say “by permit only” , those are just for overnight visitors. Street parking is available but limited.
2. Do I get my hair washed/ washed? Is hair wash included?
Your hairwash is optional and complimentary. We recommend having freshly cleaned hair for cuts and blowdries. This guarantees even saturation, any impurities cleansed from the hair, and damage prevention to our tools.
3. Do you have a private room?
Yes, we do have a private room for your comfort. Please let the stylist know over the phone/at your appointment if you would like use of the private room. Whether religious customs, work meetings, or a quiet space.
4. What is the difference between a partial foil, full foil?
Partial foil consists of the top and sides of the head, primarily any of the hair you see around your face and along your part. Full foil consists of the hair underneath the crown to the nape of the neck. Full foil gives you an all over blonder look.
5. What colour line does the salon use?
We are a L’Oreal professional salon. Primarily we use the Inoa line, which is 100% gray coverage, ammonia free, oil based and vegan. For more cooler tones, and vibrant red/violet tones, we do tend to use more of the Majirel line, which is also 100% gray coverage, but does contain ammonia. We also provide semi-permanent colour, our diacolor line, which can cover up to 75% gray, and provides 3x more shine and moisture to the hair.
6, How can I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment in 1 of 3 ways. If you’re out and want to stop by to book, you can. Otherwise we have online booking which makes selecting a date and time very easy and convenient. Our online booking can be found on our website www.waveshairstudio.ca. Last but not least you are more than welcome to call the salon @9054693055 to book and/or speak to one of our stylists.
7, Do you accept walk ins?
We do accept walk ins based on availability meaning we cannot guarantee a service upon a walk in and for that reason it is recommended to book ahead of time if possible or call in advance to make sure someone is available.
8, Do you only do women?
We offer our services to both men and women whether it be cut and/or colour. We also offer kids cuts at differing prices based on age. For women who want privacy we do have a private room.
9, Is the price the same for each stylist?
Yes, our prices remain the same no matter who you see.
10, Do I save the tax if I pay cash?
Given that we all have to pay taxes at the end of the day, there is no tax cut when paying in cash which keeps all prices the same given any form of payment.
